Revere Beach Village
Revere, MA
Signature Architects conceived and presented a conceptual design for a new mixed use development project called "Revere Beach Village" for a design competition. The design became one of three short-listed submissions, eventually leading to the development being selected.
The 10 acre site is located adjacent to the Wonderland T-Station, and is intended to be developed under guidelines from the Congress for the New Urbanism, and State guidelines for Transit Oriented Developments. The design includes multi-family housing, retail, office, a hotel, parking garages, large pedestrian and open spaces, and pedestrian bridges linking the site to the beach. The total building area is approximately 1 million square feet with and estimated project cost of $500 million.
This proposed full service clubhouse consists of a large pro-shop, members locker rooms, a 250 person function space and spacious 19th hole including an exterior patio overlooking the 18th green.

Proposed 400,000 S.F. Office Building
Proposed Community Theatre and Mixed-Use Buildings
This proposed building was designed to include 36 one- and two-bedroom condominium units ranging from 1,000 s.f. to 1,200 s.f. each, with a total unit area of 45,000 s.f. In addition, 29 parking spaces are located under the building, another 16 under carports, and 9 surface spaces. The design includes master and guest baths, kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry area, individual decks, individual heat/AC, and cathedral ceilings at the top floor units, and an interior storage areas for all tenants.
This proposed project was to be a complete interior and exterior renovation of this two story above ground structure. The front facade was to consist of new brick and metal panels with the existing entry stairs to be removed allowing for direct access to the first floor level and creating a fully accessible entrance. The back of the building would also have the entry steps removed and a new multi colored brick facade installed.
The proposed project was to consist of the construction of two new building. Building one was to be three (3) stories with an approximate 6,000 s.f. footprint, and be used to house a local community theatre. Building two was also to be three (3) stories with an approximate 5,000 s.f. footprint and be used for retail on the ground floor, office on the second floor, and residential on the third.
The project was to be comprised of a single three (3) story office building with an interior courtyard space and 3 levels of parking below the building, with the third level being a partial level. The interior courtyard was to extend one level below the first floor to accommodate office spaces at the lower/garage level. The office space was to total approximately 400,000 s.f. with approximately 30,500 s.f. at the lower/garage level and 123,166 s.f each at floors one, two and three. The under-building garage was to total approximately 300,000 s.f., with 93,000 s.f. at level one, 124,000 s.f. at level two, and 83,000 s.f. at level three. The total combined square footage of the office space and garage was to total approximately 7000,000 s.f. The building was be constructed of steel and concrete with an exterior brick cavity wall system.
